Speaker's list includes many mountain people

This year’s IMS speaker‘s list is quite large and diversified. Personalities will talk about their passion for mountains and their life experiences.
Starting with Felix Brunner, who had to reconsider his life from the beginning after an accident on the mountain and is now able to reach the peak with his mental power. Joey Kelly, who doesn’t accept any limit according to his incredible discipline and determination. Matthias Pöhm, who knows that success doesn’t make you happy will show you the path to reach happiness.

Mountain fascination exhibited in Brixen/Bressanone

The close connection between culture, art and mountain world is transmitted every year at the Kiku. International Mountain Summit through various exhibitions. You can visit three exhibitions in the city centre of Bressanone. At the Pharmacy Museum you will learn everything about healing herbs and toxic plants present in the South Tyrolean mountain flora.
In the Hofburg you turn into a mountain dreamer while visiting the exhibition Aqua Montis. In the Stadtgalerie Robert Bösch, a Swiss mountain photographer will transmit you through his exhibition “Landscapes” love for nature and the action photographer’s profession. The peak of the exhibiton is the keynote speech of Robert Bösch on October 16th. The mountain and its faces

The IMS Photo Contest 2015 has successfully reached the final stage. This year's motto “Mountain faces” was extremely challenging for photographers coming from all over the world. 1700 photographer from 90 countries are competing this year for the Kiku. Photo Award and the DJI Aerial Photo Award. The public voting goes on until September 4th . On www.imsphotocontest.com you will also have the opportunity to vote for your three favorite pictures among the Top100 and be part of the IMS Photo Contest. In the meantime a jury of experts, including renowned photographers like Georg Tappeiner, Manuel Ferrigato, the Polish outdoor photographer David Kaszlikowski or the Swiss Robert Bösch are working at full speed.
On October 14th, while the IMS opening is taking place in Bressanone, the photobook collection „Atem der Berge“ will be presented at the International Book Fair in Frankfurt. It is a unique photo book with mountain pictures coming from all over the world, which have been submitted during the past editions of the IMS Photo Contest.

Reaching the IMS peak

The established collaboration with a large number of supporters and partners made it possible to offer a varied festival program. Especially, when referring to the organization of the experience programs, new partnerships have been created. The team of the Brenner Base Tunnel with coordinator Martin Ausserdorfer offers a look into the inner part of the mountains. The Mining world Villanders with coordinator Robert Gruber gives the unique opportunity to visit the oldest mining plant of the Alps. Mountain bikers get unforgettable experiences due to the collaboration with the HERO Team and OK President Gerhard Vanzi. Werner Baumann and the “Herzklopfen” Team offer a package especially created for singles. The Italian alpine club CAI, Dr. Luigi Festi and lawyer Waldemaro Flick are responsible for the discussion “Mountain Freedom vs. Risk – a discussion without peak”. Gerd Bittl – Fröhlich, the founder of Safetysella will reveal new techniques and strategies to sellers.
