More than one hundred years ago Johan Nilsson started knitting production in Satila village not far from the Swedish city of Goteborg.
At those times plenty of sheep were herded around, and peasants knew how to shear, spin and knit. Hats and socks were necessary, as the Nordic climate dictated. The business was growing up and spreading. Soon hand-working was replaced by machines and production increased. Industrialization came to Swedish province.
Later in the 20th century Olympic sports helped to promote Satila hats around the globe. Triple Olympic Champion Ingemar Stenmark in his famous hat has become Satila Ambassador among reporters, channels and states. So Europe and America have been inspired.
Russia's turn happened in 1998. Unusual approach of Russian-Swedish joint-venture has been selected. Long way from importing via assembling to complete cycle enterprise has been passed. From three people to twenty three, from hundreds of hats to hundreds of thousands.
The parent company license, carefully tuned production and multiple quality check guarantee the highest industry standards like EAC, Okotex and Bluesign. Hats, underwear, socks, gloves, clothes, shoes - all are made with the most comprehensive materials like eVent, Windstopper and Polycolon. High customer expectations have been matched.
